We are formed for this. Life.
To wake from slumber and blink the heavy eyes slowly. Waiting. To see.
Witnesses of beauty.
Spectators of glory.
To awaken our senses and fully engage, to consume all that is around us.
For us.
Do we take the time to see the masterpieces?
His art.
Framed in moments.
Often, our moments are rushed and our forgetful hearts don't pause.
But I desire to be a woman of intention.
One of deliberate findings.
The here and now framing of graces.
Spread wide and thick and abundant.
He creates.
Promise & Hope. For us.
The mist of His presence that falls on every instance. It's grace.
For when we become more aware of Him, we understand more of this.
A stillness of self to best receive the daily art. The daily graces.
And I want to see. And I want to still. And I want to know and give thanks.
To come alive to the beauty surrounding me. And think about such things.
Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.

just a quick note to say...this page has become like a sanctuary I go to when I need to 'be still and know'.
