A time to Create...

It seems as though cobwebs have been residing in these parts of my life lately. Time has not granted me much space to write in these corners.
However, an anticipation and expectancy for this new year has been rippling under my skin for weeks now.

I am eager to CREATE. To spread the stokes and wings to take flight.
A season of change. A sense of birth into something new.

As I've searched the heart of God for me, and a word for this year to come, there was one that stood out above the rest. The word that made me quiver with nerves and an unease to be vulnerable.

CREATE!

Who am I to fashion art?
The Creator creates.
We are but His art... His masterpiece.

My steps want to halt in fear, but my heart is pregnant with hope.
In wait of witnessing His sketches. His movements.
Taking this life and fashioning His glory.
For I know anything that comes forth from me, is sovereignly planned.

It is not about making much of me. I am no artist at all, if not for His grace.
It is about making much of Him.

Our blank canvases are painted in colours divine by His very word.

With anticipation I'm stepping forward in courage, becoming comfortable with vulnerability, and letting God birth His creativity in me.

Let it begin...

  2. So excited for you Manda! I too feel the Creator calling me to unleash my creativity within too. I want to do a photography course, and I have started collaging with scrapbook materials.

I have also started reading, "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron which comes highly recommended.

I am scared and anxious....but ready to embrace (after I can find it hidden within) my creativity!

Go Amanda...go create! I believe it is what we were born to do xo
